About Me

Limehill Quality Solutions was set up in 2020 at the start of Covid when, like many other quality consultants, the workload suddenly stopped. I am in a fortunate position to say I genuinely enjoy my role in supporting clients in the life science sector. In my first job as a quality engineer in the late 1990s, I was one of the first six employees hired for a start-up company, so I have great empathy for those in a similar position. In the last 20 years, I have gained extensive knowledge of regulations and standards, allowing me to provide customised solutions to start-ups and SMEs in the life science sector.

I understand what it's like to be an auditee, so my approach is thorough but friendly. My questioning style encourages auditees to recognise non-conformances and identify opportunities for improvement. Clients often utilise my auditing service to have trainee auditors shadow an experienced auditor and to reinforce employee understanding of the applicable regulation and standards.

My previous experience spans the following sectors: medical device manufacturing and sterile barrier packaging, laboratory, precision sheet metal fabrication, electronics, automotive, telecommunications, thermoforming & plastic extrusion. My participation in the NSAI TC005 Healthcare Standards Committee allows me to gain an early understanding of upcoming changes to standards and to collaborate with peers to shape international best practices.

I am passionate about lifelong learning; clients report I can make compliance subjects enjoyable with my collection of shared experiences, and I deliver training on ISO 17025, ISO 13485, Internal Quality Auditing & Estimation of Measurement Uncertainty for testing laboratories performing physical, chemical and microbiological testing.

Lastly, Limehill is the name of the townland where I was born in County Tyrone, and I now live in County Galway.
