Training for Laboratory Sector: ISO 17025, Internal Quality Auditing, Estimation of Measurement Uncertainty
The training courses were designed by Limehill Quality Solutions over the last 6 years to address specific industry training needs arising from new or revised standards and regulations. The majority of training provided is customised to reflect the use of clients' documentation and data. Public courses are also available. Clients are supported with training onsite/remotely and further information on course brochures and client reviews can be accessed on the SQT website at the links below.
The Estimation of Measurement Uncertainty training courses were developed in 2020 for physical, chemical, and microbiological testing laboratories in response to client demand and are tailored to cover one or more of the following approaches, depending on client needs.
GUM 'Guide to Measurement Uncertainty'
Use of Single Lab Validation and Quality Control data
Use of Proficiency Testing data
Reproducibility replicates for microbiological testing, based on ISO 19036: 2019.
Client reports that the practical training approach in which clients data is used makes the concept of measurement uncertainty easier to understand. The statistical calculations may appear daunting at first; however, as with any process, the estimation of uncertainty can be broken down into easier-to-manage steps.
